Back-to-School, Inc. is Counting Down for 5th Annual Back-to-School Teen Explosion Conference©

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (July 23, 2015) – Back-to-School, Inc. is sponsoring the 5th Annual Back-to-School Teen Explosion Conference© on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Westover Recreation Center, 10:00am-2:00pm. The purpose of the Conference is to provide an annual end of summer event that encourages teenagers to plan for a successful school year and apply themselves at the highest level upon going back to school.

Getting ready for school before it starts can help ease the TRANSITION without taking away any of the SUMMER FUN! The event is filled with a day of educational and fun activities. Teens from the Sandhills Region will participate in workshop sessions on school success, college preparation, effective communication skills and workforce development. The Back-to-School Teen Explosion Conference© is the PREMIER end of summer event that encourages teenagers to plan for a successful school year and apply themselves at the highest level upon going back to school.

In addition to the general break out sessions and Career & Community Expo, additional features this year includes a special track for high school seniors entitled “It’s My Senior Year & I Don’t know where to Start” and a Parent Lunch & Learn from 12:00pm-2:00pm. The Parent Lunch & Learn is free to parents with teens attending the conference and $10 for parents interested in attending, but their children can’t make it.Premier Sponsors for the Back-to-School Teen Explosion Conference© include the City of Fayetteville, Fayetteville/Cumberland Parks & Recreation, Fayetteville Observer, T. Pinckney & Associates and AmeriCorps VISTA. Jade Quality Care, Inc. is serving as the Teen Cafe' Lunch Sponsor and Steps to the Future is the "Parent Lunch-n-Learn" Sponsor.
